Artist Specializing in Portraits and Floral Paintings in Watercolor or Oil
Linda Ruhl is a commissioned artist, well-known for her portraits and florals. As a young child Linda started drawing faces and has been intrigued by the expression, the light and soul in a person’s eyes and the freeness and innocence in a child’s face.
Linda loves to see a painting emerge from the canvas or from the rich layers of watercolor washes. Before a portrait begins she looks for more than a likeness, she looks for a part of their personality that makes them unique.
Most of her paintings are portraits, but she also loves to paint florals and landscapes and the media used is primarily watercolor, oils, pastels or pen and ink. In addition to original paintings, Giclee prints of Linda's Floral and Landscapes are available
Portraits are painted during live sittings or from quality photographs.
